What I Offer
-
What do you offer?
A blend of gentle hands-on and energy-based therapies, personalized to your needs. Depending on what's present and what you're working with, a session may draw from:
- Zen Shiatsu & Acupressure — like acupuncture without needles
- Chi Nei Tsang — abdominal work that addresses the organs as centers of held emotion
- Tuina, Gua Sha, Moxa & Cupping — used as appropriate
- Theta Healing® — energetic release and belief work
- Flower Essences & Homeopathy
- Guided Meditation, Breathwork & Qi Gong
No two sessions are exactly alike. I follow what is present rather than a fixed protocol.
-
What makes your approach different?
I work at the level where things actually get stuck — not just the symptom, but the story underneath it. I bring over two decades of clinical experience alongside my own healing journey, which means I know this territory from the inside.
I also believe that nothing happens in a session without your clear permission. You are always in the lead.
The Session
-
What happens during a session?
We begin with a brief health history and check-in — what's going on in your body, your life, what brought you here today. The first session is two hours to allow space for this. Subsequent sessions are approximately one hour.
From there the session unfolds based on what's present. It may include gentle pressure and stretching along the meridians, abdominal work, energy techniques, breathwork, or a combination. I follow the body rather than a predetermined plan.
-
How will I feel afterward?
Many people feel calmer, lighter, more present in their bodies — a sense of quiet that can be hard to find otherwise. Some describe it as the first real rest they've had in a long time.
Occasionally you may notice a brief shift — feeling tired, emotional, or slightly achy — as your body adjusts to what has moved. This is sometimes called a healing reaction and usually resolves within twelve hours. Drinking plenty of water helps.
Practical Details
-
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing in natural fibers — cotton or linen are ideal. Clean socks. Sessions are given fully clothed and no oils are used.
-
Where do sessions take place?
Most sessions take place on a massage table or massage chair. I also work on a futon on the floor. If I am coming to your home, a bed or hospital bed can be used depending on your needs and comfort.
-
Do you offer sessions in person and online?
In-person sessions are available in the East Bay. Some energy-based work — including Theta Healing — can be offered remotely. Reach out and we'll discuss what makes sense for your situation.
How Many Sessions
-
How many sessions will I need?
Some people feel significant relief after a single session. For deeper or chronic issues, weekly or regular sessions allow benefits to build over time.
We'll discuss an appropriate treatment plan together after your first session — I don't believe in one-size-fits-all recommendations.
-
How often should I come?
Once a week is typical at the beginning of a course of treatment, particularly for ongoing or complex issues. As things shift, the frequency can adjust. Some people come regularly for maintenance and support; others come when something specific arises.
Who Can Benefit
-
Who can benefit from this work?
People of all ages — including children, pregnant women, and elders. Sessions are tailored to be gentle and appropriate for each person.
I work especially well with people who feel deeply, give generously, and are ready to put down what was never theirs to carry. Healers, caregivers, executives, sensitives. People who have tried other things and sense there is still a deeper layer to address.
-
Do I need to believe in energy work for it to be effective?
No. Curiosity and openness are enough. The work meets you where you are.
